Join us for a quintessentially British ‘Afternoon Tea’, a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, fruity scones as well as a selection of delicious cakes, all washed down with the most British of drinks – Tea.

In Britain today Afternoon Tea is usually enjoyed as an occasional indulgence or to celebrate a special event such as a birthday, or a pre-wedding or baby shower party with a group of friends.

Detailed Description

Afternoon Tea is a light meal originated amongst the wealthy classes in England in the 1840s. Anna Maria Russell, Duchess of Bedford, is widely credited as transforming afternoon tea in England into a late-afternoon meal whilst visiting Belvoir Castle.

Today, Afternoon Tea is an experience enjoyed on special occassions.

Join us at Browns on the Riverside in Kingston from 2.30pm on Sunday 24 September 2017 for this excellent value experience.
