French KLS Module - Beginners
This year-long module is for students who have no previous knowledge of the language they have chosen to study and provides a solid foundation in the language (equivalent to level A1 of the CEFR (GCSE)). The module provides an introduction to the language and
culture of the chosen language and gives students the opportunity to progress to a language degree programme.
The Modern Language module focuses on achieving basic levels of communication in all four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Students will be introduced to basic language structures (grammar and vocabulary) while developing confidence and
a degree of accuracy when using the language in a broad range of situations. The module also engages with aspects of the language’s culture and society as it aims to provide students with a wider context for language learning.
This module follows the blended approach, that is, it will be delivered partly face-to-face in interactive classes and partly online.
Classes take place at Penrhyn Road in 2 hours weekly session and start week commencing 02nd October 2017.
There are 4 groups of beginners courses, which run as follows:
Tuesdays at either 4-6pm or 6-8pm
Thursdays at either 4-6pm or 6-8pm
Please make sure you are available to attend these sessions before enrolling as fee paid is non-refundable.
