2-day Creative Writing Workshop

Course Description

A colourful and dynamic 2-Day creative writing course, led by author Jane Hankin exploring the craft of making, writing and telling stories. Participants will press and tread and squeeze out living, conflicted characters, struggles, situations, worlds, interruptions, into frothy, juicy story smoothies. Perfect for a range of abilities; beginners, curious newcomers to creative writing, budding filmmakers, and artists — all those who use story in their work. Each day will be full of different exercises to free up thinking, to progress you as a storyteller and writer. We’ll also look at a range of short stories (both classical and contemporary) as examples and inspiration. A small task will be set at the end of each day which participants will share at the beginning of the following session. Participants will take away a portfolio of writing covering a range of themes and formats.
