MArch (Unit 7) trip to Venice

Description

This field trip will visit Venice from 1 November to 5 November 2023 and is for fully enrolled MArch students within Unit 7.

The trip cost is £156.10 per person and payment is required as soon as possible to ensure your place on the trip. This payment link will be active until 31st March 2024.

Detailed Description

The dates of the trip are 1 November - 5 November 2023.  Cost covers staff costs.

Terms and Conditions:

Passport Requirements:

You have already confirmed passport details.  It is your responsiblility to ensure that you have at least six months validity remaining on my passport at the time of the trip departure.

Visa Requirements:
I understand that it is my responsibility to obtain a valid visa for this trip and I can obtain further visa advice from the relevant Embassy.
A supporting visa letter can be provided by the Student Office.

Mobility Bursary
For field trips of three nights or more, for any Home/EU full-time undergraduate students with a household income of less than £25,000, you can apply for a bursary towards the travel costs of the trip only through the Mobility Bursary Fund.  Full information about eligibility is on My Kingston. Click on the links for Money/ Funding Your Studies for more information.  You can also go along to the Student Funding drop-ins at Student Life.   

UK students who are eligible for student maintenance loans and grants or the NHS bursary, and EU students who are eligible for the tuition fee loan, must have taken out their full entitlement before they can apply to this Fund.

Code of Conduct:
The study trips are arranged by the University in order to enhance and enable your learning.

You are expected to fully participate in all work, tours and visits unless confirmed health reasons prevent you from doing so.   You are expected to adhere to the laws of the country in which you are visiting and to the rules of the transport company with whom you are travelling. Ignorance is not an excuse.

As you are representing Kingston University and Kingston School of Art on this trip, the University’s Code of Student Behaviour will be applied for any behaviour that is deemed inappropriate or risks the reputation of the Faculty/University. Such behaviour will result in disciplinary action which may result in the termination of your registration at Kingston University.   A copy of the Student Code of Conduct can be found in My Kingston (online). 

PLEASE NOTE:
By booking this trip each student confirms that they have carefully read and understood the University Code of Conduct and agrees to be bound by its terms and conditions in its entirety. 

Health and Safety:
As part of the debrief from the Field Trip leader prior to your departure, you will receive  important information about health and safety, insurance and the trip itinerary. 

Insurance:
The University will register you with our group insurance scheme.  This is valid if you are a fully enrolled student at Kingston University and travelling from start point in the UK only.  This University insurance is in addition to any personal insurance you may wish to take out. You will receive full details of cover as part of your full trip itinerary and information.

You will not be covered by the University Insurance if you are travelling against medical advice.

Refunds
Please note refunds are not possible.  In the case of medical/emergencies you may be able to make a claim under the University insurance policy which you will have full details of.
