PEDRPEDRDescriptionRecording your professional experience is a key step in developing yourself as a reflective practitioner. It is also a requirement for those aiming to register as an architect in the UK. Candidates are required to have completed 24 months of approved experience prior to entering the final assessment for Part 3. Details as to the type and form of experience accepted by the RIBA are clearly set out on the RIBA PEDR website. Further information and a helpful FAQ section is available on the ARB website www.arb.org.uk under Qualifications/Practical Training Requirements. Annual Fee £300 First Quarterly Sheet Fee £75 Second Quarterly Sheet Fee £75 Third Quarterly Sheet Fee £75 Fourth Quarterly Sheet Fee £75 The RIBA Professional Development and Experience Record, available via www.pedr.co.uk, requires a tripartite arrangement between you, your office mentor and your Professional Studies Advisor. By registering with us here at Kingston we provide you with a PSA and undertake to monitor your experience. As each of you will have an individual profile as to when you commenced employment/approved activity, we have set up the system to allow you to register whenever this is appropriate. However, we wish to draw your attention to the 2 month submission protocol. You should have submitted your quarterly PEDR sheet within 2 months of the end of each recorded period. This is to allow you to have feedback prior to the submission of the next sheet. For further information please contact [email protected] The fee for the year is £300 but you can pay either for 12 months (4 quarterly sheets) or for each individual record as you submit it. This will be a fee of £75 per record. |
